Okay, you may think this just plain wierd, but I really want to sit down and write who has fractured-memories and relates to my domain name. So, a list of characters I know and love who have Fractured-Memories, in order of importance to me. Also includes some that sort-of have fractured memories. In a matter of speaking. This is a very oudated list and is just left up here for my amusment and for the amusement of others. Enjoy!

sakura

Hello, well obviously Sakura is coming out top. She's the inspiration for the domain name. Anyway. She's lost her memories due to a power known as the 'tsubasa' which grants the user to transport him/herself to different dimensions. It exceeds all other power to do this. Nothing else is known about it. When Syaoran saved her, she lost her memories into feathers. But the one memory she will never recover is the memory of Syaoran.

syaoran

Yes yes yes, I know, you're saying 'oh no he doesn't have fractured memories.' Well he does, so there. Before he met Fujitika, or Sakura, he woke up one day and didn't know who he was, where he was, or anything else. Total amnesia. So from before the age of 7 he doesn't remember anything. There seems to be another 'Syaoran' who is him and yet not him, since he has his lost eye and after leaving Outo, the memories start flowing back in small drifts from when he first wake up. He actually meets 'himself' in his dreams. See, he does have fractured memories in some sense. The real reason is because he is the clone of a whole person. I guess though, the 'other' trapped Syaoran has fractured-memories too; he suffers a life 'watching through an eye' and kind of never graps hold of those memories that aren't really his. Now he's reminding me of Namine, so I'll go away and be quiet now~

sora

Okay. The entire cast of KH has fractured memories (except for Namine) because of Sora's involvement. Kairi too, so I would put her here, but it's basically Sora related; But lets just skip that part. Sora's memories were broken and reconnected when he went to Castle Oblivion. This like, they were replaced and built up again as new ones, but during that time, they were reconnected from their fractured state. Sora has literally no idea about any of this, since the time in Castle Oblivion was removed from his memory as well. this is so confusing but in short, he has broken memories.

roxas

Ok, I know I said I was only going to put Sora on here. But Roxas forgets his memories for an entirely different reason... that reason being DiZ. He forgets his time in the Organization, and his best friend, Axel. No, that's not why he's here either. He's placed in the Twilight Town simulation which runs according to data in the real Twilight Town world - and his memories are wiped, and his persona changed. He does get his memories back when Sora is whole - he spends a lot of time searching for himself before confronting Sora.

subaru

It hit home after reading the Tokyo Babylon saga Subaru is a candidate. His memories of his first meeting with Seishirou are erased, and replaced, so they are the incorrect ones. His mind tries to piece it together, but only remembers the incorrect memory, until Seishirou shows im the truth - the horrible, horrible truth. There's also that, and the time when Seishirou turns evil and takes Hokuto's life - Subaru awakes from his completely broken state. All the memories so close to have him have fractured and faded away. Even though it's a worthless cause - he doesn't care. He just wants Hokuto back, though it's impossible.

takuto

Takuto, as a shinigami, doesn't remember anything from his life. But, since he didn't want to die, he remembers fragments of his past life, until at one time he regains them all. This is a problem though, since he will become a ghost. (IN THE ANIME) He takes something that will make him forget.. and he does. Everything. Mitsuki. Mereko. Human memories. Shinigami memories. Everything. *cries* And when he comes back, I'm not sure if he remembers or not. Either way, when he says he has to protect something, he doesn't know what. See? Fractured memories. I'm not sure about the manga, though he does have to contain himself when he remembers small things.

shia

Shia was actually known as Shima and was in Japan in almost a century prior, and is actually Kotarou's great-grandmother. She is really a demon so living on Earth affects her health, and the only thing that can sustain her is human blood. She loved Taro, but knew she would have to leave one day when she almost killed her son Kotaroh. So she left with Nya, the demon who tries in vain to get her to ACT like a demon, and Nya, as a parting gift for not getting his way about four years previous, wiped her memories clean. Almost a century later, she regains her memories of Taro with help from Kotarou. He said 'I'll always wait for you at this tree'. And he did. She found a photograph and remembered.

chii

Chii has no memories from when she was rebooted. The reason? Her twin sister, Freya, found her person just for her, but was her creator. Someone she knew she couldn't have her love returned by. As she slipped away from the strains in her circuits, Elda called to her, asking her to come inside and help her find her person. As her fading wish, Elda asked that she be left somewhere so she would not suffer the same fate as Freya. She never remembers her past; though it is told to her by Freya in some ways.
