A Fanlisting
A fanlisting is a group of people who like something; ie a group of people who like Wolves. All a fanlisting is is a list of fans to do with that particular person, item, or object; it joins together people with similar intrests.
Abhorsen
Abhorsen is the third (and final full novel that is currently availiable, but can be defined as the second to last as 'Creature in the Case' was written for World Book Day in 2005 - it also has been recently announced that Nix is going to write a further two novels for the series, the first to be about Chlorr of the Mask, the second currently informationless) book in the Old Kingdom Saga. It continues on from where Lirael left off, with Lirael, Sameth, Mogget and the Disreputable Dog fighting there way back to the wall to save Nick from unleashing something that shouldn't be released. Why
This is one of my most favourite books. I love this series, and I love this book too; I can re-read the series over and over, never get bored of them, always find something to love and to be generally fanish over, and I like this one a lot. There has always been something about Nix's books, especially The Old Kingdom ones, that have drawn me in for the past six years and keep leaving me coming back for more. With Abhorsen, the first time I saw it I had to buy it. There was no reason. I even went and bought the hardcover copy that was over priced just because I couldn't get rid of the idea. And it's not a bad series ending, either. It's good. I like it a lot; it grips me from page one all the way down to the end of the epilogue. Plus it also reunites all the characters that should be reunited within it. This book is one of my most loved ones and will be for a long time to come.
The Ninth Gate
The chapter about Lirael's journey to the Ninth Gate is a significant part of the story, and Lirael then sees the way to banish the evil she is up against with her remembrancer skills. It was even this or something to do with the seven bells who hold memory of the creators of the charter, but I chose this instead.
